LABOR FREE RAW MATERIAL PROCESSING
Vanamatic's material handling equipment ensures the most efficient and cost effective methods for processing steel shavings and cutting fluids. Our in ground chip processing allows labor free removal directly from the machine to the scrap recycling truck.
The facility has four 280 ft. troughs which span the entire length of the manufacturing floor and moves all the steel and stainless steel shavings separately to chip processing centers. The shavings are spun dry, cutting oil reclaimed and stored for metal recycling, all without employee labor.
Reclaimed cutting oil is combined with approximately 12,000 gallons of cutting oil continually circulated to all machines through our central cutting oil system. This recirculating central system keeps the temperature of cutting oils low for top performance in machining.
The approximate 8 million pounds of steel machined annually is off loaded with two overhead cranes and stationed for incoming inspection. After inspection, material is marked with customers logo or customer specified markings and stored at each machine.
These systems deliver that competitive advantage for our customers by keeping labor costs low in those non value added areas.
